LOICZ InPRINT Article - Now online!

We here at C-Change are very pleased to announce C-Change’s partnership with LOICZ (Land-Ocean Interactions in the Coastal Zone). Our very own Don Forbes is a member of the scientific steering committee for LOICZ.

As we have recently been named a newly affiliated project with LOICZ, we submitted a brief project description for their publication, InPRINT, earlier this summer. We are happy to say that our project is featured in the latest edition, 2012/2, on pages 23 through 25. Please take a look at the following link: http://www.loicz.org/products/publication/inprint_latest/index.html.en

Take some time to look around the site ( www.loicz.org ) and see what LOICZ is all about. This partnership exposes our project to a global audience and allows us to explore other groups that are also working on coastal adaptation and climate change issues.

Good news for C-Change!

C-Change Geomatics Workshop at UNB

UNB held a Basics of Geomatics workshop for project participants at UWI, UNB, and Universite Sainte Anne. Students from all three campuses attended a number of sessions designed to support the C-Change Project May 28-29.  Presentations are available on the C-Change website, under the C-Change Documents Heading, Presentation sub-heading.

Thanks to all contributors for providing PowerPoints and photos!

C-Change Affiliation with LOICZ

C-Change is now an affiliated project with LOICZ, the "Land-Ocean Interaction in the Coastal Zone" Group.

LOICZ aims to provide science that contributes towards understanding the Earth system in order to inform, educate and contribute to the sustainability of the world's coastal zone. Therefore LOICZ seeks to inform the scientific community, policymakers, managers and stakeholders on the relevance of global environmental change in the coastal zone. (from LOICZ website, http://www.loicz.org/ )

Our C-Change ICURA is now listed on their website - great news for us, as it should assist us in getting our message out to an even wider audience.

Thanks to Don Forbes and Dan Lane for getting the ball rolling on this!  Don Forbes is a member of the Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) for LOICZ.
